긴 아침의 숲에서 시작된 도자기

장조림포터리는 도예가 신성민과 김지혜가 함께 운영하는 세라믹 스튜디오입니다. 이름은 한자로 ‘긴 장(長)’, ‘아침 조(朝)’, ‘수풀 림(林)’ — '긴 아침의 숲'이라는 뜻을 담고 있습니다. 우리가 키우는 늦잠꾸러기 고양이, 그리고 가마가 식어가는 시골 작업실의 늦은 아침. 이 조용하고 따뜻한 시간에서 장조림포터리는 출발했습니다. 함께 나란히 작업하며, 각자의 시선과 손끝으로 느린 감각을 빚습니다. 장조림포터리는 공동의 작업이며, 동시에 각자의 세계가 이어지는 느슨한 연결이기도 합니다.

Jangjorim Pottery is a ceramic studio run by artists Sungmin Shin and Jihye Kim. The name comes from Chinese characters: 長(Chang, long), 朝(Cho, morning), and 林(Rim, forest) — together meaning “a long morning forest.” It began with our late-sleeping cat, and the quiet mornings in our countryside studio, when the kiln slowly cools down. From these still and gentle moments, Jangjorim Pottery was born. We work side by side, shaping with our own perspectives and hands at an unhurried pace. Jangjorim Pottery is both a shared practice and a loose connection that extends into each of our individual worlds.
